7. Balham to Wimbledon

Des de Moore, who has recently completed this walk, has sent the following comments;

p128, Wandsworth Cemetery and the Somme, 

First bullet point

A clearer instruction is; 

On entering the cemetery follow the main drive ahead for a short distance, and take the path on the left opposite the Cottage, before you get to the chapels.

p131/2, Along the Valley of the Wandle 

Eighth bullet point. This part of the path, on the far bank of the river, can be overgrown in summer.  If this is the case when you visit, an alternative route is to remain on the same side of the river without crossing the footbridge, turning left onto the broader path that follows the near bank. Where this bends left into a more open area, bear right back into the trees and alongside the river again:

Continue until you reach a crossing with a tarmac path and climb the steps opposite to reach North Road.
